I love this product! It’s easy to use and makes the grass look like it’s natural best! Every year around this time my association sends me a letter advising my dormant grass needs water or they will fine me. I keep sending them letters educating them on grass dormancy. Finally I got tired of it and purchased this. It was easy to use with my sprayer and my dormant brown lawn looks like it’s in season and well cared for. I highly recommend this product especially if you have an unreasonable and intrusive association like mine.

We have 15,000 sq ft of lawn that was severely damaged by bill bug. From the house, all I see is 'brown'. I am beginning to see 'green'. I have so much lawn that I need to order more product. We are using a 15 gallon spray tank on an ATV and that works really well...except for one little thing. The filter (Screen) inside the tank clogs OFTEN and we have to stop and clean it out. Thinking of getting several and changing them as needed and then cleaning them all at once. Don't think this would be a problem with a smaller yard and a smaller sprayer. We are 87 years old and 78 and us 'old folks' are able to to this quite easily....however, I don't know how to add photos. Sorry. Maybe my grandkids can help me if we can get back to this rating.

We have had no rain for about a month and my front lawn was totally burned out. While I was applying, I had every neighbor stop and ask me what it was I was doing!! Love how this worked. Side note - I love that it is safe for pets and kids too!

This dye works extremely well on grass, but doesn't work quite well on conifers. I have some conifers that have some brown spots that I wanted to spray green, but this water based dye doesn't stick to the conifer needles. It's probably because of the oily, resinous nature of the needles that makes them repel the dye. Even with the utmost care, it's extremely easy to have drifts and oversprays staining concrete and stone surfaces. On a smooth non-absorbent surface, the dye will dissolve in alcohol. Maybe alcohol could be used to clean oversprays on concrete but I have not tried doing so.

I couldn’t believe that it worked. I was having a party and the grass was dead. I painted it and it worked. Looked nice.

Faded Grass
Mix 6–8 oz. LawnStar Grass Paint per gallon of water
Dormant Grass
Mix 10–12 oz. LawnStar Grass Paint per gallon of water
LawnStar Grass Paint can be applied with any garden sprayer.
Start with a weaker dilution to test a small area for color density. Continue to add concentrate until optimal color density is reached. Mixing ratios may vary depending on grass type and desired color match.
For best results, apply mixture 2–3 inches from top of grass in a circular motion. Grass should be dry prior to application.
Average drying time takes 2–3 hours. Ensure pets don’t come into contact with grass before paint has fully set.
Mask surrounding areas that are to be left untreated, and move nearby objects to avoid overspray. Wet concrete with water prior to treatment to avoid staining. If overspray occurs on wetted concrete wash away with water immediately. If overspray sets on concrete use a stainless steel bristle brush (BBQ style) and warm soapy water to remove stains.
Product stains when dry. Wet concrete and stonework that may be susceptible to overspray prior to application. If overspray does occur, rinse as soon as possible.
