Not So Faded Mulch
Mix 2–4 oz. LawnStar Mulch Dye per gallon of water
Very Faded Mulch
Mix 5–6 oz. LawnStar Mulch Dye per gallon of water
LawnStar Mulch Dye can be applied with any garden sprayer.
Start with a weaker dilution to test a small area for color density. Continue to add concentrate until optimal color density is reached. Mixing ratios may vary depending on mulch condition and desired color match.
For best results, apply a thin layer from left to right, 3–6 inches from the top of your mulch in an orbital motion. Do two passes for the most consistent coverage, allowing time between each for longer lasting results. Avoid over applying the mixture.
Mulch should be dry prior to application. Average drying time takes 2–3 hours. Ensure pets don’t come into contact with mulch before the dye has fully set.
Mask surrounding areas that are to be left untreated, and move nearby objects to avoid overspray. Wet concrete with water prior to treatment to avoid staining. If overspray occurs on wetted concrete wash away with water immediately. If overspray sets on concrete use a stainless steel bristle brush (BBQ style) and warm soapy water to remove stains.
Rinse sprayer and nozzle thoroughly when application is complete to avoid stains and clogging.

Red mulch dye worked better than expected. Instead of spending bags of red mulch to replenish the look, one bottle of this was all that was needed. Six ounces was all I needed and front yard great. I would recommend.

I used this product to paint some wood chippings that I laid down in my front yard and it worked great. It of course requires multiple coats since the chippings were not originally red. But this product would definitely help restore faded mulch if it was able to help me bring color to my mulch.
