Used LawnStar's surfactant which seemed decently priced - it's the first time I've ever used a surfactant and seems to have done the job well. It was easy to mix and apply with my pump sprayer and target weeds growing in the yard. I've had mixed results spraying for crabgrass in the past, I used surfactant to keep the herbicide on the weeds so that it's more effective. Thanks!

Tried this as an upgrade to my previous surfactant. I was looking for a non-ionic version from a respected supplier. Got both from LawnStar as well as a competitive price. Would recommend.

Safety Information: Although we opt for the safest ingredients, it is important to treat it carefully as you would any other lawn and garden product. Keep out of reach of children. Do not ingest. Detailed safety information can be found on the backside of the product label, or by clicking on the Specification tab and reviewing the Safety Data Sheet.
Did you know that when you treat your lawn with herbicide, pesticide or fertilizer, a good deal of the spray solution used is not absorbed or put to use by the treated plants. It doesn’t matter if its applied to grass, foliars, weeds, or shrubs… A good portion of the products you spend your hard-earned dollars on go to waste.
Which means you end up spending more time, effort and money to get the results you desire for your yard.
It’s not that the products themselves don’t work as intended. It’s to do with chemistry and plants themselves, something called surface tension.
Naturally, when a spray (liquid) hits a plant, there is high surface tension. This means some liquid will bead up and rolloff, some will sit there for a while but fail to adhere. Ultimately, you aren’t getting the most benefit out of the products you use.
In short, a surfactant (or wetting agent) reduces the surface tension between the plant and liquid by providing a binding layer in-between.
If you combine the products you’re already using in your lawn and garden with a surfactant, they will go further, last longer, and produce better results!
Non-ionic because it carries no electrical charge which makes it compatible with all herbicides, pesticides and fertilizers.
Premium because we’re utilizing a cutting-edge 80% active wetting technology blend, fortified further with Ammonium Sulfate to maximize penetration and plant uptake.
What to expect when you utilize LawnStar® Non-ionic Surfactant:
Surfactants have been used in the professional turf and golf industries for over 60 years. Only in recent years have they began to slowly creep their way into some homeowner’s lawn care arsenals.
This is, in part, due to some key developments over recent years that make these solutions more useable for people like us. The technology has improved rapidly (and we’re at the forefront of that).
But you can bet your bottom dollar that your local lawn care guy has been utilizing surfactants while working on your’s, or your neighbor’s yard for many, many years.
I mean, why wouldn’t they? When you sum up the, well, pros… It’s really a no brainer.
Our team of formulators have decades worth of experience in the turf and golf industries. If our surfactant is approved by golf courses spanning across the entire country, you can rest assured it’ll live upto your expectations, too.
Studies have shown plant uptake of herbicides increase up to 65% when combined with a surfactant. Let’s be a little more conservative and do the math on a 50% increase in uptake.
That’s an extra 16 ounces of product for every quart of herbicide you use up, or 64 ounces (TWO QUARTS!) of product for every gallon you use.
And when you consider that one of our 32 ounce bottles can be mixed with up to 100 gallons of solution… There’s a lot of savings to be had.
Now, of course we can’t guarantee the exact amount of product you will save. That’d be impossible. And frankly, we wouldn’t want to. Because each case (and each lawn) is different, and there are a variety of factors at play in determining this (which products, when and how you’re applying your sprays, what your goal is).
We can guarantee you’ll see a marked increase in product performance and longevity. You won’t find yourself in the yard having to reapply as often either. You’ll probably wonder why you didn’t take advantage of this in the past.
And we’re so sure of that, we back that with a guarantee too. We call it the Evergreen Guarantee. You can read more about it here.

I purchased the Lawnstar's Surfactant because it contained AS along non-ionic with spreader sticker. I used it with glyphosate to perform a reno and have to say was very impressed with the results. I'm not sure if it was the AS but it seemed to work faster.
